Energy Team
Research Interests
Sam has general research interest in the food-energy-water (FEW) nexus, with specific interests in advancing technology for renewable energy generation and utilization, improving water treatment and desalination technologies, and implementing novel technology, especially in the global context. During his master’s, he focused on using electrodialysis and nanofiltration as a means to selectively separate agricultural nutrients from a brackish groundwater feed stream. In the GEAR Lab, he’ll be working on developing innovative strategies for low-carbon hydrogen production.
