Brett Johnson - Post-doctoral Researcher

Research Interests

I'm interested in helping persons with disabilities achieve functional ambulation. My doctoral work focused on studying how persons with lower limb paralysis ambulated with orthoses and explored the effects of altering the stiffness of the orthotic hip joint. Here at the GEAR lab, I am assisting with improving the dynamic cosmesis of a passive prosthetic leg for transfemoral amputees in developing countries.
